Sodium Hyaluronate

CYSTISTAT^® is a sterile solution of sodium hyaluronate for the temporary replacement of the layer of glycosaminoglycans (GAG) of the urinary bladder. The deterioration of the GAG layer of the bladder epithelium may cancel its barrier function and allow the attachment of bacteria, microcrystals, proteins and ions, or transit of waste and non-ionic soluble like urea across the epithelium.

CYSTISTAT^® has proved useful in the treatment of:

• Radical cystistis
• Infectious cystitis
• Interstitial cystitis
• Hemorrhagic cystitis

It is recommended Cystistat^® instillation into the bladder every week for 4 to 12 treatments and then monthly until instill Cystistat^® symptoms disappear.

CYSTISTAT^® is presented in a 1 vial of 50 ml with 40 mg of sodium hyaluronate.
