To enhance synergies between the two functions the Department of Strategic Development and International Allinces (SD & IA) was created in 2008. SD & IA department team has a broad expertise in international business.

SD & IA main goals are:

In-licensing

• Providing a sustainable flow of new products, both in Spain and in export markets within therapeutic area of interest.
• Leading the teams of each new product evaluation to ensure a fast and effective decision-making process.
• Alliance management: ensure good communication with existing licensees.

Out-Licensing

• Maximize revenue with existing customers, prioritizing strategic products where there are not available.
• Opening new markets in countries where Rubió is not yet present.
• Restructure or update our business models for certain type of deals, facilitating a transition towards a model of long-term sustainable partnerships.
• Alliance management: Ensure good communication with existing clients.
