Neurofarmagen TDAH first results presented at the Congress SENEP 2011

Barcelona, July 2011. Dr. Fernando Mulas, Director of INVANEP (Valencian Institute of Pediatric Neurology), presents the first results of Neurofarmagen® ADHD in SENEP XXXV Annual Meeting (Spanish Society of Pediatric Neurology), held in Granada last June.
Disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a disorder that affects 5-7% of children, adversely affecting academic performance and social functioning. Is known to have a heritability close to 0.7, although not yet know the genes involved, so it is presumed multigenética predisposition associated with environmental factors. The observational study aimed to evaluate series of cases in a consecutive sample of children with ADHD, which have been subjected to genetic analysis using saliva sample, the presence or absence of certain polymorphisms involved in susceptibility to the disorder the response to drug treatment and predisposition to substance abuse disorders.
